Dhanpura Folk Nights, a three-night festival of desert folk music held in a village square under the stars, will return next month with 40 artists and a new stage for performers under the age of 25, organisers said.

The festival began eight years ago as a gathering of musician families from nearby villages. It now draws visitors from across the country, but organisers say they have kept it small on purpose: no more than 3,000 people a night, and free entry for village residents.
